Talia was awesome! I’ve been to both Home Depot and Lowe’s garden centers, but the service here really stood out. They don’t make you feel like you’re supposed to already be a gardening expert. Instead, they take the time to listen to what you’re looking for, answer your questions, and guide you toward the right plants and products. Some of the prices are a little higher, but the excellent service and great selection more than make up for it. Definitely worth checking out!

I don’t know much about plants and I have been vacillating whether to take the plunge. My bf always have green thumb and this is one of the places he buys his plant supplies. It’s a great place even for kids who want to get away from the buzz and learn about how to add and care for the nature. They have vegetable greens, fruit trees, even moringa! Different types of tomatoes and so much more! They have different pots and gadgets needed to grow plants and trees. While there are different price points, bf told me they have sales on off season which should be considered. Cheerful and very helpful staff. Supporting local business is the best way for the town to thrive and I’m in. Starting with the succulents!

As we head into the part of the South Texas gardening season where the sun begins acting like a relentless vengeful supervillain, I can honestly say I’ve been very pleased with the plants I bought from Rainbow Gardens this spring. My tomatoes, basil, mint, oregano, and several other garden residents all got their start there. Not everything will survive the summer, because this is South Texas and some plants simply aren’t built for this heat. But I’ve already harvested enough basil and mint to dry for later, and I’ve gotten so much enjoyment out of the garden along the way. One of the things I appreciate most about Rainbow Gardens is that they don’t just sell plants. They help people learn how to garden successfully in our challenging climate. Their classes, events, and online resources have taught me a lot and helped me adapt when Mother Nature decides to start playing on legendary mode. And thanks to their Bonus Bucks program, I’ve got an August shopping trip on the calendar and a completely unsubstantiated belief that I still have room for more plants. Today is the 50th anniversary of Rainbow gardens opening it's doors. They have been providing top quality plants and expert information all this time. They have vegetables, herbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees. They also have all the fertilizer and tools you need to make your garden come to life. They even have stones and sculptures. This is the best garden center in South Texas, bar none!

I pass by this place so much and I really just stopped to restart my plant journey and WOW! So many options and varieties, from flowers, fruit trees, bushes, even things to decorate your garden or yard with! I wish I had a yard 😅 it was overwhelming in a good way and I will definitely be back.
